Resident versus non-resident accounts
Hold a NIE and an entry on the Bilbao padrón and you can open a full resident account. Without residence you can still open a non-resident account, supported by a certificado de no residente. We identify which one fits your situation and assemble the paperwork.
The documents banks expect
- Passport or national ID
- Your NIE number
- Proof of address — empadronamiento or a utility bill
- Evidence of employment or income status
